Pelvic Floor EMS in Danville

Your pelvic floor plays an important role in everyday life, even if you rarely think about it. These muscles help with bladder control, core stability, posture, and movement. When they become weak, you may notice urinary leakage, reduced core strength, or discomfort in your lower back, hips, or pelvis.

Pelvic Floor EMS uses the Kore Floor chair, an electromagnetic stimulation system designed to activate these muscles while you sit comfortably. The treatment works without needles, surgery, or the need to remove clothing.

How the Kore Floor Works

The Kore Floor sends gentle electromagnetic pulses that stimulate the nerves controlling the muscles of the pelvic region, causing them to contract. Like strength training for other muscles, these repeated contractions may help improve strength, endurance, and stability over time.

Unlike traditional exercises, such as Kegels, the chair performs the contractions for you. During a 30-minute session, the muscles can contract thousands of times, something that’s difficult to achieve through exercise alone.

Who May Benefit?

Pelvic Floor EMS may be recommended for women or men experiencing urinary incontinence, reduced core stability, or discomfort affecting the lower back, hips, or pelvis. Because this muscle group works together with the diaphragm and the rest of the core, improving its function may also contribute to better movement and breathing patterns.

During each visit, you’ll simply remain seated on the Kore Floor chair while the treatment runs. The intensity is gradually increased based on your comfort level, making the experience well tolerated by most patients.

What to Expect From Care

A typical program includes around 10 sessions. Treatment usually begins with a 10-minute visit before increasing gradually to 30-minute sessions. While every patient responds differently, many begin noticing changes after three to six visits.
